Matthew 4: 18While Jesus was walking along the shore of Lake Galilee, he saw two brothers. One was Simon, also known as Peter, and the other was Andrew. They were fishermen, and they were casting their net into the lake. 19Jesus said to them, "Come with me! I will teach you how to bring in people instead of fish." (CEV)
Mark 3: 14Then he chose twelve of them to be his apostles, so that they could be with him. He also wanted to send them out to preach. (CEV)
Mark 3: 32The crowd that was sitting around Jesus told him, "Your mother and your brothers and sisters are outside and want to see you." 33Jesus asked, "Who is my mother and who are my brothers?" 34Then He looked at the people sitting around him and said, "Here are my mother and my brothers 35Anyone who obeys God is my brother or sister or mother.".(CEV)
Mark 6: 6Jesus taught in all the neighboring villages.7Then he called together his twelve apostles and sent them out two by two with power over evil spirits. 8He told them, "You may take along a walking stick. But don't carry food or a traveling bag or any money.9It's all right to wear sandals, but don't take along a change of clothes. 10When you are welcomed into a home, stay there until you leave that town.. (CEV)
Luke 10: 1Later the LORD chose seventy-two other followers and sent them out two by two to every town and village where he was about to go. 2He said to them: A large crop is in the fields, but there are only a few workers. Ask the LORD in charge of the harvest to send out workers to bring it in.... 7Stay with the same family, eating and drinking whatever they give you, because workers are worth what they earn. Don't move around from house to house.. (CEV)
Acts 2: 41 On that day about three thousand believed his message and were baptized .... 42They spent their time learning from the apostles, and they were like family to each other. They also broke bread and prayed together... 44All the LORD'S followers often met together, and they shared everything they had. 45They would sell their property and possessions and give the money to whoever needed it. 46Day after day they met together in the temple. They broke bread together in different homes and shared their food happily and freely, 47while praising God. Everyone liked them, and each day the LORD added to their group others who were being saved. (CEV)
