How Do Small Groups Produce Wonderful Friendships?
Ice-Breaker: Describe a happy friendship you had with someone in your childhood school.

John 13: 34"But I am giving you a new command. You must love each other, just as I have loved you. 35If you love each other, everyone will know that you are my disciples" (CEV)

John 15: 12.... love each other, as I have loved you..13The greatest way to show love for friends is to die for them.14And you are my friends, if you obey me..... (CEV)

John 17: 21I want all of them to be one with each other, just as I am one with you and you are one with me. I also want them to be one with us. Then the people of this world will believe that you sent me. (CEV)

I John 3: 16We know what love is because Jesus gave his life for us. That's why we must give our lives for each other. 17If we have all we need and see one of our own people in need, we must have pity on that person, or else we cannot say we love God. (CEV)

1 Corinthians 12: 18But God has put all parts of our body together in the way that he decided is best. 19A body isn't really a body, unless there is more than one part. 20It takes many parts to make a single body. 21That's why the eyes cannot say they don't need the hands. That's also why the head cannot say it doesn't need the feet.22In fact, we cannot get along without the parts of the body that seem to be the weakest. 23We take special care to dress up some parts of our bodies. We are modest about our personal parts,.....  27Together you are the body of Christ. Each one of you is part of his body. (CEV)

Romans 12: 5 .... There are many of us, but we each are part of the body of Christ, as well as part of one another.6God has also given each of us different gifts to use.... 8If we can encourage others, we should encourage them. If we can give, we should be generous.... (CEV)

Galatians 5: 22God's Spirit makes us loving, happy, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, 23gentle, and self-controlled. There is no law against behaving in any of these ways. (CEV)

1 Corinthians 13: 4Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud, or 5rude. Love isn't selfish or quick tempered. It doesn't keep a record of wrongs that others do. 6Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil. 7Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting. (CEV)
