Colossians 2: 6You have accepted Christ Jesus as your LORD. Now keep on following him. 7Plant your roots in Christ and let him be the foundation for your life. Be strong in your faith, just as you were taught. And be grateful. 8Don't let anyone fool you by using senseless arguments. These arguments may sound wise, but they are only human teachings. They come from the powers of this world and not from Christ. (CEV)
Matthew 10: 28Don't be afraid of people. They can kill you, but they cannot harm your soul. Instead, you should fear God who can destroy both you body and your soul in hell ... 31So don't be afraid! You are worth much more than many sparrows. (CEV)
James 1: 2My friends, be glad, even if you have a lot of trouble. 3You know that you learn to endure by having your faith tested. 4But you must learn to endure everything, so that you will be completely mature and not lacking in anything. (CEV)
Romans 8: 27All our thoughts are known to God... 28We know that God is always at work for the good of everyone who loves him.(CEV)
Hebrews 12: 5 ...."When the Lord punishes you don't make light of it, and when he corrects you, don't be discouraged. 6The Lord corrects the people he loves and disciplines those he calls his own." 7Be patient when you are being corrected! This is how God treats his children. Don't all parents correct their children? 8God corrects all of his children, and if he doesn't correct you, then you don't belong to him .... 11It is never fun to be corrected. In fact, at the time it is always painful. But if we learn to obey by being corrected, we will do right and live at peace. (CEV)
1 Peter 2: 20...But God will bless you, if you have to suffer for doing something good. 21After all, God chose you to suffer as you follow in the footsteps of Christ, who set an example by suffering for you. (CEV)
2 Corinthians 1: 8Three times I begged the LORD to make this suffering go away. 9But he replied, "My kindness is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak." So if Christ keeps giving me his power, I will gladly brag about how weak I am. 10Yes, I am glad to be weak or insulted or mistreated or to have troubles and sufferings, if it is for Christ. Because when I am weak, I am strong. (CEV)
