1 Corinthians 8: ⁶We have only one God, and he is the Father. He created everything, and we live for him. Jesus Christ is our only Lord. Everything was made by him, and by him life was given to us. (CEV)
1. What role does the Christ take in the creation of both physical and spiritual reality?

John 1: ⁹The true light that shines on everyone was coming into the world. ¹⁰The Word was in the world, but no one knew him, though God had made the world with his Word. ¹¹He came into his own world, but his own nation did not welcome him. ¹²Yet some people accepted him and put their faith in him. So he gave them the right to be the children of God. ¹³They were not God's children by nature or because of any human desires. God himself was the one who made them his children. (CEV)
2. How did Jesus come into His creation in order to show His and God's love for us?

Colossians 1: ¹⁵Christ is exactly like God, who cannot be seen. He is the first-born Son, superior to all creation.¹⁶Everything was created by him, everything in heaven and on earth, everything seen and unseen, including all forces and powers, and all rulers and authorities. All things were created by God's Son, and everything was made for him.¹⁷God's Son was before all else, and by him everything is held together. ¹⁸He is the head of his body, which is the church. He is the very beginning, the first to be raised from death, so that he would be above all others. (CEV)
3. Why did God design and make everything on the earth through, by, and for Jesus?

Hebrews 1: ²But now at last, God sent his Son to bring his message to us. God created the universe by his Son, and everything will someday belong to the Son. ³God's Son has all the brightness of God's own glory and is like him in every way. By his own mighty word, he holds the universe together.... ¹⁰The Scriptures also say, "In the beginning, LORD, you were the one who laid the foundation of the earth and created the heavens.¹¹They will all disappear and wear out like clothes, but you will last forever." (CEV)
4. When Jesus holds the universe together by His mighty word, what does that mean?

Romans 1: ¹⁸From heaven God shows how angry he is with all the wicked and evil things that sinful people do to crush the truth. ¹⁹They know everything that can be known about God, because God has shown it to them. ²⁰God's eternal power and character cannot be seen. But from the beginning of creation, God has shown it all to them. That's why those people don't have any excuse.²¹They know God, but they don't honor him or even thank him. Their thoughts are useless, and their stupid minds are in the dark. ²²They claim to be wise, but they are fools. (CEV)
5. Tell us how group discussion helps us to understand and appreciate the glory God and Jesus.
