Nothing Is Impossible For God
IceBreaker: Describe a Christmas tradition in you home.

Luke 1: 36Your relative Elizabeth is also going to have a son, even though she is old. No one thought she could ever have a baby, but in three months she will have a son. 37Nothing is impossible for God!" 38Mary said, "I am the Lord's servant! Let it happen as you have said." And the angel left her. Zechariah 8: 6This may seem impossible for my people who are left, but it isn't impossible for me, the LORD All-Powerful. (CEV) Luke 18: 27Jesus replied, "What is impossible with men is possible with God." (NIV)
1. How would you respond if God asked you to take a risk?

1 Peter 4: 10 Each of you has been blessed with one of God's many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well. 11If you have the gift of speaking, preach God's message. If you have the gift of helping others, do it with the strength that God supplies. Everything should be done in a way that will bring honor to God because of Jesus Christ, who is glorious and powerful forever. Amen. (CEV)
2. How do you know what your gift is? How can your gift be used?

Luke 1: 28The angel greeted Mary and said, "You are truly blessed! The Lord is with you." 29Mary was confused by the angel's words and wondered what they meant. 30Then the angel told Mary, "Don't be afraid! God is pleased with you, 31and you will have a son. His name will be Jesus. 32He will be great and will be called the Son of God Most High. The Lord God will make him king, as his ancestor David was. 33He will rule the people of Israel forever, and his kingdom will never end." 34Mary asked the angel, "How can this happen? I am not married!" (CEV)
3. What do you say to people that don't believe that Jesus was born to Virgin Mary?

Exodus 4: 10 Moses said to the LORD , "O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue." 11The LORD said to him, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD ? 12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say." 13But Moses said, "O Lord, please send someone else to do it." 14Then the LORD's anger burned against Moses… (NIV)
4. How do we speak for the Lord?
