Isaiah 9: 6A child has been born for us. We have been

1. What is the significance of the many names for Jesus ?
Psalm 23: 4 Even though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me.(NIV)
2. How has God comforted you in a time of need ?
Acts 2: 38Peter said, "Turn back to God! Be baptized
in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven. Then
you will be given the Holy Spirit. (CEV)
3. Describe how baptism changes peoples lives. Has it changed yours?
Philippians 4: 13For I can do everything with the
help of Christ who gives me the strength I need. (NLT)
Matthew 19: 26Jesus looked straight at them and said,
"There are some things that people cannot do, but God can do anything." (CEV)
4. Why can't people succeed without God's guidance and help?
John 14: 16"I will ask the Father, and He will give
you another Helper, that He may be with you forever…" (NASB)
Romans 8: 15God's Spirit doesn't make us slaves who are
afraid of him. Instead, we become his children and call him our Father.
16God's Spirit makes us sure that we are his children. (CEV)
5. How can we help others see God as their father?
Isaiah 42: 16I will lead the blind on roads they have
never known; I will guide them on paths they have never traveled. Their
road is dark and rough, but I will give light to keep them from stumbling.
This is my solemn promise. (CEV)
Hebrews 13: …be content with such things as you have. For He Himself
has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (NKJV)
6. When a person feels alone, how are they assured God is still with
them?
John 3: 16God loved the people of this world so much
that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have
eternal life and never really die. (CEV)
