1. The Bible reassures us that God is always with us, how could Israel
be without God?
Matthew 5: 9Blessed are the peacemakers, for they
will be called sons of God. (NIV)
2.What does it mean to be a son of God? What does it mean to be a peacemaker?
Lamentations 3: 22The LORD's kindness never fails!
If he had not been merciful, we would have been destroyed. 23The
LORD can always be trusted to show mercy each morning. 24Deep
in my heart I say, "The LORD is all I need; I can depend on him!" (CEV)
3. How can we keep our relationship with God fresh and new each morning?
Exodus 34: 28Moses stayed on the mountain with the
LORD for forty days and nights, without eating or drinking. And he wrote
down the Ten Commandments, the most important part of God's agreement with
his people. (CEV)
4. What do you imagine that Moses learned in 40 days with the Lord?
Genesis 5: 21 When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became
the father of Methuselah. 22 And after he became the father
of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters.
23 Altogether, Enoch lived 365 years. (NIV)
Genesis 6: 9This is the account of Noah. Noah was
a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked
with God. (NIV)
