Job 24 ¹²The groans of the dying rise from the city, and the souls of the wounded cry out for help. But God charges no one with wrongdoing. ¹³"There are those who rebel against the light, who do not know its ways or stay in its paths. ¹⁴When daylight is gone, the murderer rises up and kills the poor and needy; in the night he steals forth like a thief. (NIV)
1. What does it mean that "God charges no one with wrong doing"?

Psalm 36 ⁸They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from yourriver of delights. ⁹For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. ¹⁰Continue your love to those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart. (NIV)
2. What is the fountain of life?

Ephesians 5: ¹Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children  ²and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. ³But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. (NIV)
3. How can we imitate the love of God?

Salt and Light - Matthew 5: ¹³"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. ¹⁴"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. (NIV)
4. In what ways can we show others our light.

The First Day - Genesis 1: ³God said, "I command light to shine!" And light started shining. ⁴God looked at the light and saw that it was good. He separated light from darkness 5and named the light "Day" and the darkness "Night." Evening came and then morning--that was the first day. (CEV)
5. God created the light. Did he create the darkness?

Proverbs 4 ¹⁷They eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence. ¹⁸The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. ¹⁹But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble. (NIV)
6. How do you stop someone from stumbling .
