Romans 13: 8Let love be your only debt! If you love others, you have done all that the Law demands. 9In the Law there are many commands.... But all of these are summed up in the command that says, "Love others as much as you love yourself." (CEV)

1 Corinthians 13: 4Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud, or 5rude. Love isn't selfish or quick tempered. It doesn't keep a record of wrongs that others do. 6Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil. 7Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting. 8Love never fails! (CEV)

1 John 4: 20But if we say we love God and don't love each other, we are liars. We cannot see God. So how can we love God, if we don't love the people we can see? (CEV)

Matthew 7: 12Treat others as you want them to treat you. This is what the Law and the Prophets are all about. (CEV)

Ephesians 4: 12so that his people would learn to serve and his body would grow strong. 13This will continue until we are united by our faith and by our understanding of the Son of God. Then we will be mature, just as Christ is, and we will be completely like him. 14We must stop acting like children....15Love should always make us tell the truth. Then we will grow in every way and be more like Christ, the head 16of the body. (CEV)

1 Corinthians 14: 12If you really want spiritual gifts, choose the ones that will be most helpful to the church. (CEV)

1 Corinthians 12: 5There are different ways to serve the same Lord, 6and we can each do different things. Yet the same God works in all of us and helps us in everything we do. 7The Spirit has given each of us a special way of serving others. (CEV)

1 Corinthians 2: 10God's Spirit has shown you everything. His Spirit finds out everything, even what is deep in the mind of God. 11You are the only one who knows what is in your own mind, and God's Spirit is the only one who knows what is in God's mind. 12But God has given us his Spirit. That's why we don't think the same way that the people of this world think. That's also why we can recognize the blessings that God has given us. 13Every word we speak was taught to us by God's Spirit, not by human wisdom. And this same Spirit helps us teach spiritual things to spiritual people. 14That's why only someone who has God's Spirit can understand spiritual blessings. Anyone who doesn't have God's Spirit thinks these blessings are foolish. 15People who are guided by the Spirit can make all kinds of judgments, but they cannot be judged by others. 16The Scriptures ask, "Has anyone ever known the thoughts of the Lord or given him advice?" But we understand what Christ is thinking. (CEV)

Facet 5 - Meet: Keeping the Group on Target (chap 8, in the Nine Keys book).
1. Why is it important for those leading to be facilitators rather than experts with all the answers?
2. What happens when loving each other is the key ingredient for the people at each meeting?
3. How can hurt feelings be avoided and meetings have a positive family-like climate?
4. When we each have gifts from God's Spirit, why is it important to use them in the group?
5. How did you join a group, and how can we reach outsiders with a hearing for the Good News.
