Acts 4:34.... no one went in need of anything. Everyone who owned land or houses would sell them and bring the money  35to the apostles. Then they would give the money to anyone who needed it. 36-37Joseph was one of the followers who had sold a piece of property and brought the money to the apostles. He was a Levite from Cyprus, and the apostles called him Barnabas, which means "one who encourages others." (CEV)

John 13: 34But I am giving you a new command. You must love each other, just as I have loved you. 35If you love each other, everyone will know that you are my disciples. (CEV)

Mark 10: 43But don't act like them. If you want to be great, you must be the servant of all the others. 44And if you want to be first, you must be everyone's slave. 45The Son of Man did not come to be a slave master, but a slave who will give his life to rescue many people. (CEV)

Philippians 2: 5and think the same way that Christ Jesus thought: 6Christ was truly God.  But he did not try to remain equal with God. 7He gave up everything and became a slave, when he became like one of us.8Christ was humble. He obeyed God and even died on a cross. 9Then God gave Christ the highest place and honored his name above all others.10So at the name of Jesus everyone will bow down, those in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. 11And to the glory of God the Father everyone will openly agree, "Jesus Christ is Lord!" (CEV)

Luke 9: 23Then Jesus said to all the people:If any of you want to be my followers, you must forget about yourself. You must take up your cross each day and follow me. (CEV)

Proverbs 19: 17Caring for the poor is lending to the LORD, and you will be well repaid.(CEV)

John 16: 5But now I am going back to the Father who sent me, and none of you asks me where I am going. 6You are very sad from hearing all of this. 7But I tell you that I am going to do what is best for you. That is why I am going away. The Holy Spirit cannot come to helpa you until I leave. But after I am gone, I will send the Spirit to you. (CEV)

Numbers 11: 29But Moses replied, "Are you concerned what this might do to me? I wish the LORD would give his Spirit to all his people so everyone could be a prophet." 30Then Moses and the seventy leaders went back to camp. (CEV)
