Acts 4:³⁴.... no one went in need of anything. Everyone who owned land or houses would sell them and bring the money  ³⁵to the apostles. Then they would give the money to anyone who needed it. ^36-37Joseph was one of the followers who had sold a piece of property and brought the money to the apostles. He was a Levite from Cyprus, and the apostles called him Barnabas, which means "one who encourages others." (CEV)

John 13: ³⁴But I am giving you a new command. You must love each other, just as I have loved you. ³⁵If you love each other, everyone will know that you are my disciples. (CEV)

Mark 10: ⁴³But don't act like them. If you want to be great, you must be the servant of all the others. ⁴⁴And if you want to be first, you must be everyone's slave. ⁴⁵The Son of Man did not come to be a slave master, but a slave who will give his life to rescue many people. (CEV)

Proverbs 19: ¹⁷Caring for the poor is lending to the LORD, and you will be well repaid.(CEV)

John 16: ⁵But now I am going back to the Father who sent me, and none of you asks me where I am going. ⁶You are very sad from hearing all of this. ⁷But I tell you that I am going to do what is best for you. That is why I am going away. The Holy Spirit cannot come to helpa you until I leave. But after I am gone, I will send the Spirit to you. (CEV)

1. Why does God want leaders and facilitators to serve those that He entrusts into their care?
2. What can we do that will be of the most help to the other flill-time leaders in our Congregation?
3. How can we discover unmet needs within our small groups, and then try to meet them?
4. When we realize that God wants us to reach out beyond our group, what are some things we can do?
5. Tell us how you have seen good deeds cause outsiders to listen more closely to God's Good News.
