Psalm 119: ²You bless all of those who follow your commands from deep in their hearts...
¹¹I treasure your word above all else; it keeps me from sinning against you....
¹⁵I will study your teachings and follow your footsteps. ¹⁶I will take pleasure in your laws and remember your words.
¹⁸Open my mind and let me discover the wonders of your Law.
²⁰What I want most of all and at all times is to honor your laws.
²³I keep thinking about your teachings, Lord.... ²⁴Your laws are my greatest joy! I follow their advice.
²⁷Help me to understand your teachings and I will think about your marvelous deeds.
³²I am eager to learn all that you want me to do; help me to understand more and more. (CEV)

2 Corinthians 3: ¹⁷The Lord and the Spirit are one and the same, and the Lord's Spirit sets us free. ¹⁸So our faces are not covered. They show the bright glory of the Lord, as the Lord's Spirit makes us more and more like our glorious Lord. (CEV)

2 Corinthians 4: ²... God is our witness that we speak only the truth, so others will be sure that we can be trusted.
⁴The god who rules this world has blinded the minds of unbelievers. They cannot see the light which is the good news about our glorious Christ, who knows what God is like. ⁵We are not preaching about ourselves. Our message is that Jesus Christ is Lord. He also sent us to be your servants. ^6...Now God is shining in our hearts to let you know that his glory is seen in Jesus Christ....
    ¹⁶We never give up. Our bodies are gradually dying, but we ourselves are growing stronger each day. ¹⁷These little troubles are getting us ready for an eternal glory that will make all our troubles seem like nothing. ¹⁸Things that are seen don't last forever, but things that are not seen are eternal. That's why we keep our minds on the things that cannot be seen. (CEV)

Romans 12: ²Don't be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him. (CEV)

1. How does God's Spirit help us love His Word and be joyful in the face of trouble?
2. How can God's Word bring great strength and rewards in our daily lives?
3. What motivates us to help others in our group and not just be a spectator?
