2 Corinthians 1: 3Praise God,

of Christ, but also in the wonderful comfort he gives. 6We
suffer in the hope that you will be comforted and saved. And because we
are comforted, you will also be comforted, as you patiently endure suffering
like ours. 7You never disappoint us. You suffered
as much as we did, and we know that you will be comforted as we were....
9In fact, we felt
sure that we were going to die. But this made us stop trusting in ourselves
and start trusting God, who raises the dead to life. (CEV)
James 1: 2My friends, be glad, even if you have a lot of trouble. 3You know that you learn to endure by having your faith tested. 4But you must learn to endure everything, so that you will be completely mature and not lacking in anything. (CEV)
Hebrews 12:11It is never fun to be corrected. In fact, at the time it is always painful. But if we learn to obey by being corrected, we will do right and live at peace. (CEV)
