Book 1 - Chap 1 - How God Uses Groups:             grp016
Jesus Gives Us a Wonderful Future to Live for.
Ice Breaker: When you were young what was one thing you really hoped for?

John 11: 25....Everyone who has faith in me will live, even if they die. 26And everyone who lives because of faith in me will never really die. (CEV)

1 Thessalonians 4: 17Next, all of us who are still alive will be taken up into the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the sky. From that time on we will all be with the Lord forever. 18Encourage each other with these words. (CEV)

2 Corinthians 4: 16We never give up. Our bodies are gradually dying, but we ourselves are being made stronger each day. 17These little troubles are getting us ready for an eternal glory that will make all our troubles seem like nothing. 18Things that are seen don't last forever, but things that are not seen are eternal. That's why we keep our minds on the things that cannot be seen. (CEV)

2 Corinthians 5: 1Our bodies are like tents that we live in here on earth. But when these tents are destroyed, we know that God will give each of us a place to live. These homes will not be buildings that someone has made, but they are in heaven and will last forever...
6So always be cheerful! As long as we are in these bodies, we are away from the LORD. 7But we live by faith, not by what we see. 8We should be cheerful, because we would rather leave these bodies and be at home with the LORD. (CEV)

Colossians 3: 1 You have been raised to life with Christ. Now set your heart on what is in heaven, where Christ rules at God's right side. 2Think about what is up there, not about what is here on earth. 3You died, which means that your life is hidden with Christ, who sits beside God. 4Christ gives meaning to yourb life, and when he appears, you will also appear with him in glory...
11Yet Christ is all that matters, and he lives in all of us. (CEV)

Hebrews 12: 2Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.....
22You have now come to Mount Zion and to the heavenly Jerusalem. This is the city of the living God, where thousands and thousands of angels have come to celebrate. 23Here you will find all of God's dearest children, whose names are written in heaven. And you will find God himself, who judges everyone. Here also are the spirits of those good people who have been made perfect. 24And Jesus is here! (CEV)

Matthew 11: 25...Jesus said, "My Father, Lord of heaven and earth, I am grateful that you hid all this from wise and educated people and showed it to ordinary people"...
28"If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest. 29Take the yoke I give you. Put it on your shoulders and learn from me. I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest. 30This yoke is easy to bear, and this burden is light." (CEV)
