Book 1 - Chap 1 - How God Uses Groups:             grp018
The Spirit Creates All Life and Guides All Believers.
Ice Breaker: Tell us one story about a wonderful trip you made as a child or young person.

Psalm 33: 13The Lord looks at the world 14from his throne in heaven, and watches us all. 15The Lord gave us each a mind, and nothing we do can be hidden from him. (CEV)

Psalm 53: 2From heaven God looks down to see if anyone is wise enough to search for him. (CEV)

Psalm 104: 24Our Lord, by your wisdom you made so many things; the whole earth is covered with your living creatures....
27All of these depend on you to provide them with food, 28and you feed each one with your own hand, until they are full. 29But when you turn away, they are terrified; when you end their life, they die and rot. 30You created all of them by your Spirit, and you give new life to the earth. (CEV)

Psalm 139: 7Where could I go to escape from your Spirit or from your sight? ...
13You are the one who put me together inside my mother's body, 14and I praise you because of the wonderful way you created me. Everything you do is marvelous! Of this I have no doubt. 15Nothing about me is hidden from you! I was secretly woven together deep in the earth below, 16but with your own eyes you saw my body being formed. Even before I was born, you had written in your book everything I would do. (CEV)

Luke 11: 13If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" (NIV)

John 6: 63The Spirit is the one who gives life! Human strength can do nothing. The words that I have spoken to you are from that life-giving Spirit. (CEV)

John 7: 37...Jesus stood up and shouted, "If you are thirsty, come to me and drink! 38Have faith in me, and you will have life-giving water flowing from deep inside you, just as the Scriptures say." 39Jesus was talking about the Holy Spirit who would be given to everyone that had faith in him. The Spirit had not yet been given to anyone since Jesus had not yet been given his full glory. (CEV)

John 14: 16Then I will ask the Father to send you the Holy Spirit who will help you and always be with you. 17the Spirit will show you what is true. The people of this world cannot accept the Spirit, who is with you and will keep on living in you. (CEV)

John 15: 26I will send you the Spirit who comes from the Father and shows what is true. The Spirit will help you and will tell you about me. 27Then you will tell others about me, because you have been with me from the beginning. (CEV)

John 16: 7But I tell you that I am going to do what is best for you. That is why I am going away. The Holy Spirit cannot come to help you until I leave. But after I am gone, I will send the Spirit to you...
12I have much more to say to you, but right now it would be more than you could understand. 13The Spirit shows what is true, and will come and guide you into the full truth. (CEV)
