Matthew 18: ¹⁴That's how it is with your Father in heaven. He doesn't want any of these little ones to be lost.

2 Peter 3: ⁹... God ... wants everyone to turn from sin and no one to be lost. (CEV)

Matthew 19: ³⁰But many who are now first will be last, and many who are last will be first.  Also see Matthew 20:16 (CEV)

Matthew 10: ²⁸Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. ²⁹... Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.... ³¹So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. (NIV) Don't be afraid of people. They can kill you, but they cannot harm your soul. Instead, you should fear God who can destroy both your body and your soul in hell. ²⁹Aren't two sparrows sold for only a penny? But your Father knows when any one of them falls to the ground. 30Even the hairs on your head are counted. ³¹So don't be afraid! You are worth much more than many sparrows.

Matthew 12: ^31-32I tell you that any sinful thing you do or say can be forgiven. Even if you speak against the Son of Man, you can be forgiven. But if you speak against the Holy Spirit, you can never be forgiven, either in this life or in the life to come. (CEV)

Proverbs 25: ⁴Silver must be purified before it can be used to make something of value. ⁵Evil people must be removed before anyone can rule with justice. (CEV)

John 5: ²⁸... The time will come when all of the dead will hear the voice of the Son of Man, ²⁹and they will come out of their graves. Everyone who has done good things will rise to life, but everyone who has done evil things will rise and be condemned. (CEV)

John 7: ¹⁷If you really want to obey God, you will know if what I teach comes from God or from me.... ²⁴Don't judge by appearances. Judge by what is right (CEV)

Hebrews 6: ^4-6But what about people who turn away after they have already seen the light and have received the gift from heaven and have shared in the Holy Spirit? What about those who turn away after they have received the good message of God and the powers of the future world? There is no way to bring them back. What they are doing is the same as nailing the Son of God to a cross and insulting him in public! (CEV)

Hebrews 10: ²⁶No sacrifices can be made for people who decide to sin after they find out about the truth. ²⁷They are God's enemies, and all they can look forward to us a terrible judgment and a furious fire....... ²⁹But it is much worse to dishonor God's Son and to disgrace the blood of the promise that made us holy. (CEV)

2 Peter 2: ²⁰When they learned about our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, they escaped from the filthy things of this world. But they are again caught up and controlled by these filthy things, and now they are in worse shape than they were at first. ²¹Theywould have been better off if they had never known about the right way. Even after they knew what was right, they turned their backs on the holy commandments that they were given. (CEV)

I John 5: ¹⁶Suppose you see one of our people commit a sin that isn't a deadly sin. You can pray, and that person will be given eternal life. But the sin must not be one that is deadly. 17Everything that is wrong is sin, but not all sins are deadly. (CEV)

1. Why does God punish people? Why does He forgive people?
2. What is the one thing that God wants for all people?
3. Why does God insist that we make the decision to either accept or reject His Spirit's message?
4. How do we help each other learn to please God when we meet together?
