Psalm 65: ⁹You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it. ¹⁰You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops. ¹¹You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance. ¹²The grasslands of the desert overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness. ¹³The meadows are covered with flocks and the valleys are mantled with grain; they shout for joy and sing. (CEV)

Isaiah 28: ²⁴Farmers don't just plow and break up the ground. ²⁵When a field is ready, they scatter the seeds of dill and cumin; they plant the seeds of wheat and barley in the proper places. ²⁶They learn this from their God.²⁷After dill and cumin have been harvested, the stalks are pounded, not run over with a wagon. ²⁸Wheat and barley are pounded, but not beaten to pulp; they are run over with a wagon, but not ground to dust. ²⁹This wonderful knowledge comes from the LORD All-Powerful, who has such great wisdom. (CEV)

Acts 14: ¹⁵..... Turn to the living God, who made the sky, the earth, the sea, and everything in them. ¹⁶In times past, God let each nation go its own way. (CEV)

Romans 1: They know everything that can be known about God, because God has shown it all to them. ²⁰God's eternal power and character cannot be seen. But from the beginning of creation, God has shown what these are like by all he has made. That's why those people don't have any excuse. (CEV)

1. How do we cultivate a good relationship with the One who gives us everything we have?
2. What evidence do people who raise and manufacture our food have for thanking God?
3. Why should we promise God that we will follow Jesus' example and help other people?
4. How can this small group help us trust in Jesus and want to keep our promises?
