John 13: ³⁴"But I am giving you a new command. You must love each other, just as I have loved you.   ³⁵If you love each other, everyone will know that you are my disciples" (CEV)

John 15: ¹².... love each other, as I have loved you.. ¹³The greatest way to show love for friends is to die for them. ¹⁴And you are my friends, if you obey me. ...
    ¹⁶You did not choose me. I chose you and sent you out to produce fruit, the kind of fruit that will last.... ¹⁷So I command you to love each other. (CEV)

John 17: ²¹I want all of them to be one with each other, just as I am one with you and you are one with me. I also want them to be one with us. Then the people of this world will believe that you sent me. (CEV)

I John 3: ¹⁶W e know what love is because Jesus gave his life for us. That's why we must give our lives for each other. ¹⁷If we have all we need and see one of our own people in need, we must have pity on that person, or else we cannot say we love God. ¹⁸Children, you show love for others by truly helping them, and not merely by talking about it. (CEV)

Acts 2: ⁴⁴All the LORD'S followers often met together, and they shared everything they had. ⁴⁵They would sell their property and possessions and give the money to whoever needed it. ⁴⁶Day after day they met together in the temple. They broke breadc together in different homes and shared their food happily and freely, ⁴⁷while praising God. .... (CEV)

Acts 4: The group of followers all felt the same way about everything. None of them claimed that their possessions were their own, and they shared everything they had with each other. (CEV)
