Isaiah 40: 31But those who trust the Lord will find new strength. They will be strong like eagles soaring upward on wings; they will walk and run without getting tired. (CEV)
Ephesians 4: 8...he led away many prisoners and gave gifts to people." 9When it says, "he went up," it means that Christ had been deep in the earth. 10This also means that the one who went deep into the earth is the same one who went into the highest heaven, so that he would fill the whole universe. 11Christ chose some of us to be apostles, prophets, missionaries, pastors, and teachers, 12so that his people would learn to serve and his body would grow strong. 13This will continue until we are united by our faith and by our understanding of the Son of God. Then we will be mature, just as Christ is, and we will be completely like him. 14We must stop acting like children. We must not let deceitful people trick us by their false teachings, which are like winds that toss us around from place to place. 15Love should always make us tell the truth. Then we will grow in every way and be more like Christ, the head 16of the body. Christ holds it together and makes all of its parts work perfectly, as it grows and becomes strong because of love. its work. (CEV)
Matthew 5: 3God blesses those people who depend only on him. They belong to the kingdom of heaven! 4God blesses those people who grieve. They will find comfort! 5God blesses those people who are humble. The earth will belong to them! 6God blesses those people who want to obey him more than to eat or drink. They will be given what they want! 7God blesses those people who are merciful. They will be treated with mercy! 8God blesses those people whose hearts are pure. They will see him! 9God blesses those people who make peace. They will be called his children! 10God blesses those people who are treated badly for doing right. They belong to the kingdom of heaven. 11God will bless you when people insult you, mistreat you, and tell all kinds of evil lies about you because of me. 12Be happy and excited! You will have a great reward in heaven. People did these same things to the prophets who lived long ago.(CEV)
1 Corinthians 13: 4Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud, 5or rude. Love isn't selfish or quick tempered. It doesn't keep a record of wrongs that other do. 6Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil. 7Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting. (CEV)
Galatians 5: 22God's Spirit makes us loving, happy, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, 23gentle, and self-controlled. There is no law against behaving in any of these ways. (CEV)
James 3: 17But the wisdom that comes from above leads us to be pure, friendly, gentle, sensible, kind, helpful, genuine, and sincere. 18When peacemakers plant seeds or peace, they will harvest justice. (CEV)
