Luke 1: ⁴⁶Mary said: ...⁴⁸God cares forme, his humble servant. From now on, all people will say God has blessedme... ⁵¹The LORD has used his powerful arm to scatter thosewho are proud. ⁵²God drags strong rulers from their thronesand puts humble people in places of power. ⁵³God gives the hungrygood things to eat, and sends the rich away with nothing....⁵⁵TheLORD made this promise to our ancestors, to Abraham and his family forever!(CEV)

Matthew 2: ² When Jesus was born in the village ofBethlehem in Judea, Herod was king. During this time some wise men fromthe east came to Jerusalem... ⁹...And the star they had seenin the east went on ahead of them until it stopped over the place wherethe child was. ¹⁰They were thrilled and excited to see the star.¹¹Whenthe men went into the house and saw the child with Mary, his mother, theyknelt down and worshiped him. They took out their gifts of gold, frankincense,and myrrh and gave them to him. (CEV)

John 1: ²From the very beginning the Word was withGod. ³And with this Word, God created all things. Nothing wasmade without the Word. Everything that was created ⁴received its life fromhim, and his life gave light to everyone..... ¹⁰The Word wasin the world, but no one knew him, though God had made the world with hisWord. (CEV)

Colossians 1: ¹⁵Christ is exactly like God, who cannot be seen. He is the first-born Son, superior to all creation.¹⁶ Everythingwas created by him, everything in heaven and on earth, everything seenand unseen, including all forces and powers, and all rulers and authorities. All things were created by God's Son, and everything was made for him. ¹⁷God'sSon was before all else, and by him everything is held together. (CEV)

Hebrews 1: ²But now at last, God sent his Son to bring his message to us. God created the universe by his Son, and everythingwill someday belong to the Son. ³God's Son has all the brightnessof God's own glory and is like him in every way. By his own mighty word,he holds the universe together..... ¹⁰The Scriptures also say,"In the beginning, LORD, you were the one who laid the foundation of theearth and created the heavens. (CEV)

Philippians 2: ⁵..think the same way that Christ Jesus thought: ⁶Christ was truly God. But he did not try to remainequal with God. ⁷He gave up everything and became a slave, whenhe became like one of us. ⁸Christ was humble. He obeyed Godand even died on a cross. ⁹Then God gave Christ the highestplace and honored his name above all others.(CEV)
