Psalms 78: 4.... We won't keep secret the glorious deeds and the mighty miracles of the LORD. 5..... And he told our ancestors to teach their children, 6so that each new generation would know his Law and tell it to the next. 7Then they would trust God and obey his teachings, without forgetting anything God had done.(CEV)

Psalms 119: 129Your teachings are wonderful, and I respect them all. 130Understanding your word brings light to the minds of ordinary people. 131I honestly want to know everything you teach. (CEV)

Matthew 10: 32If you tell others that you belong to me, I will tell my Father in heaven that you are my followers. (CEV)

Matthew 11: 27My Father has given me everything, and he is the only one who knows the Son. The only one who truly knows the Father is the Son. But the Son wants to tell others about the Father, so that they can know him too. 28If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will give you rest. 29Take the yoke I give you. Put it on your shoulders and learn from me. I am gentle and humble, and you will find rest. 30This yoke is easy to bear, and this burden is light. (CEV)

Colossians 4: 2Never give up praying. And when you pray, keep alert and be thankful. 3Be sure to pray that God will make a way for us to spread his message and explain the mystery about Christ, even though I am in jail for doing this. 4Please pray that I will make the message as clear as possible. 5When you are with unbelievers, always make good use of the time. 6Be pleasant and hold their interest when you speak the message. Choose your words carefully and be ready to give answers to anyone who asks questions. (CEV)

1 Peter 3: 15Honor Christ and let him be the LORD of your life. Always be ready to give an answer when someone asks you about your hope. 16Give a kind and respectful answer and keep your conscience clear. This way you will make people ashamed for saying bad things about your good conduct as a follower of Christ. (CEV)Also see Ephesians 6:18-20

2 Thessalonians 3: 3 Finally, our friends, please pray for us. This will help the message about the LORD to spread quickly, and others will respect it, just as you do. 2 First of all, I ask you to pray for everyone. Ask God to help and bless them all, and tell God how thankful you are for each of them. (CEV)

1. Why does Jesus want us to help others know and understand God as our Father in Heaven?
2. How can each of us, no matter how well educated, help spread the Good News about Jesus to others?
3. What unique way does a small group open doors to relatives, neighbors, friends, and acquaintances?
4. When the Bible tells us to give a kind and respectful answer to questions about Christ, how do we do it?
5. How should we approach God in prayer for people around us that don't seem to know about Jesus?
6. Explain how Christ shows Himself to the people who don't believe in or have never heard about Him.
