Book 3 - Chapter 12 -  How Can We Deal with Fatal Crises?    grp159
Love Can't Find A Place In The Jealous Heart.
Ice-Breaker: Tell us about an experience you had relating to a jealous friend or relative.

Mark 15: 10Pilate knew that the chief priests had brought Jesus to him because they were jealous. (CEV)

1 Corinthians 3: 3... you are not yet spiritual. You are jealous and argue with each other. This proves that you are not spiritual and that you are acting like the people of this world. (CEV)

1 Corinthians 13: 4Love is kind and patient, never jealous, boastful, proud, or 5rude. Love isn't selfish or quick tempered. It doesn't keep a record of wrongs that others do. 6Love rejoices in the truth, but not in evil. 7Love is always supportive, loyal, hopeful, and trusting. 8Love never fails! (CEV)

Galatians 5: 24And because we belong to Christ Jesus, we have killed our selfish feelings and desires. 25God's Spirit has given us life, and so we should follow the Spirit. 26But don't be conceited or make others jealous by claiming to be better than they are. (CEV)

Philippians 2: 2... Be united in what you think, as if you were only one person. 3Don't be jealous or proud, but be humble and consider others more important than yourselves. 4Care about them as much as you care about yourselves 5and think the same way that Christ Jesus thought. (CEV)

1 Timothy 6: 3Anyone who teaches something different disagrees with the correct and godly teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ. 4Those people who disagree are proud of themselves... They cause jealousy, disagreements, unkind words, evil suspicions, and nasty quarrels. (CEV)

Titus 3: 3...We were evil and jealous. Everyone hated us, and we hated everyone. 4God our Savior showed us how good and kind he is. 5He saved us because of his mercy, and not because of any good things that we have done. (CEV)

James 3: 14But if your heart is full of bitter jealousy and selfishness, don't brag or lie to cover up the truth. 15That kind of wisdom doesn't come from above... 16Whenever people are jealous or selfish, they cause trouble and do all sorts of cruel things. 17But the wisdom that comes from above leads us to be pure, friendly, gentle, sensible, kind, helpful, genuine, and sincere. (CEV)

1 Peter 2: 1...Quit trying to fool people, and start being sincere. Don't be jealous or say cruel things about others. 2Be like newborn babies who are thirsty for the pure spiritual milk that will help you grow and be saved. 3You have already found out how good the Lord really is. (CEV)
