Genesis 1: 1
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Psalm 24:
1The earth and everything on it belong to the LORD. The world and its people
belong to him. (CEV)
1. How much does God own
my thoughts and decisions, if He owns everything?
Colossians
1: 15Christ is exactly like God, who cannot be seen. He
is the first-born Son, superior to all creation. 16Everything
was created by him, everything in heaven and on earth, everything seen
and unseen, including all forces and powers, and all rulers and authorities.
All things were created by God's Son, and everything was made for him.
17God's
Son was before all else,
and by him everything is
held together. (CEV)
2. Why does Jesus love us,
because He has to?
Genesis 1: 28God
gave them his blessing and said: Have a lot of children! Fill the earth
with people and bring it under your control. Rule over the fish in the
ocean, the birds in the sky, and every animal on the earth.
Genesis 1: 26God said, "Now we will make humans, and
they will be like us. We will let them rule the fish, the birds, and all
other living creatures."
Genesis 2: 15The
LORD God put the man in the Garden of Eden to take care of it and to look
after it.
Matthew 25: 14The kingdom is also like what happened
when a man went away and put his three servants in charge of all he owned.
3. How does expect us to
use the blessings He gives to us daily?
1 Corinthians 1:9God
can be trusted, and he chose you to be partners with his Son, our Lord
Jesus Christ. Matthew 25: 21"Wonderful!" his master replied.
"You are a good and faithful servant. I left you in charge of only a little,
but now I will put you in charge of much more. Come and share in my happiness!" (CEV)
4. What happiness of the
Master's will we share in?
Matthew 6: 20Instead,
store up your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy
them, and thieves cannot break in and steal them. 1 Timothy 6: 18Instruct
them to do as many good deeds as they can and to help everyone. Remind
the rich to be generous and share what they have. 19This will
lay a solid foundation for the future, so that they will know what true
life is like.5. When
we store up treasures in Heaven, what does this involve?
5. In what way do treasures in Heaven become a solid foundation?
Romans 14: 11"I
swear by my very life that everyone will kneel down and praise my name!"
12And
so, each of us must give an account to God for what we do.
Deuteronomy 8: 17When you become successful, don't
say, "I'm rich, and I've earned it all myself." (CEV)
6. How can we be sure God
will forgive us when every knee shall bow and tongue
confess?
